2017-2024 Nissan Kicks Hood Hinges

Nissan Kicks Hood / Bonnet Hinges — Overview

When you lift the hood on your Nissan Kicks, every component behind the scenes counts for smooth daily use and long journeys. These hinges sit between the hood and the frame, guiding the panel as it opens and closes with confident, quiet movement. On a vehicle built for city commutes and weekend road trips, dependable hinges matter more than many people realize. This pair is offered as an aftermarket solution that fits the Kicks across a broad span of model years, giving owners worldwide a practical option when original parts aren’t readily available or when a cost-conscious rebuild is in progress. It’s about keeping your engine bay accessible without compromising alignment or safety.

Product Features

• Left side: 65401-5RB0A, sourced aftermarket, designed to mirror factory travel with precise pivot points for consistent hood alignment.
• Right side: 65400-5RB0A, aftermarket origin, engineered to handle daily openings and multi-ton car lifter loads without sagging.
• Metal mounting points and ball joints are formed to resist common wear from repeated use and varying climates.
• Corrosion-resistant finish helps against rain, coastal air, and road salt, extending the hinge life in harsh environments.

Durability, Fitment and Real-World Use

Hinges that handle frequent hood movements deserve to stand up to all kinds of weather and road conditions. The Nissan Kicks hinges offered here are shaped to match the geometry of the original mounting holes, so installation tends to be straightforward for a capable DIYer or a friendly neighborhood workshop. Even with daily driving in places with hot summers, cold winters, or dusty roads, these hinges aim to stay steady and aligned. The primary benefit isn’t just opening the hood smoothly; it’s keeping the hood evenly supported and balanced during travel, which reduces vibration and reduces the risk of hood misalignment after a rough stretch of road.

Compatibility Information

These hinges are listed for the Nissan Kicks family and span model years from 2017 through 2024. The left hinge is part number 65401-5RB0A (After-Market), while the right hinge carries 65400-5RB0A (After-Market). They’re designed to fit Kicks models across 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. If you’re sourcing parts from an auto parts marketplace, confirm that the side and year range match your vehicle to ensure proper clearance and latch performance. The goal is a snug, effortless hood raise with no binding or sudden resistance.

Why Choose This Part?

Choosing these hinges means prioritizing steady hood operation and a straightforward path to restoring original handling characteristics after a hinge failure. The aftermarket choice aims to replicate the kinematic profile of the factory components, so the hood closes with a reassuring final snap rather than a lingering loose feel. In practical terms, that translates to uniform hood-to-fender gaps, predictable wind noise behavior at highway speeds, and dependable latch alignment. For drivers who log long distances or commute through varied climates, the hinges’ design contributes to consistent hood action that won’t surprise you at critical moments—like checking fluid levels on the road or pulling into a busy gas station.
